Shaping Our Future: Join Us for the TMTC AGM on Wednesday 1st July 2026

The Committee would like to warmly invite all current members, past members, and friends of the Tamworth Musical Theatre Company to our upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM).

The AGM is a vital evening for our society. More than just a formal meeting, it is a space for all of us to come together, reflect on our recent journey, and actively shape the future of the company. Your feedback, ideas, and presence are incredibly valuable as we plan the year ahead. We want to ensure that every member’s voice is heard, and we look forward to a positive, collaborative evening.

Please note that while anyone is welcome to attend the meeting and join the conversation, only full and life members hold formal voting rights.

Looking Forward: Nominations & Submissions

If you would like to get involved in steering the company forward, or if you have specific items you want put to a membership vote, please note the deadlines below.

The final deadline for all submissions is 5:00pm on Friday 26th June 2026.

1. Joining the Committee

Being on the committee is a wonderful way to give back to our theatre community. Nominees should be standard or life members, able to commit to their full term (ranging from 1 to 3 years), and attend our monthly meetings (usually held online on the first Thursday of the month at 7:30pm). Because TMTC is a registered charity, committee members also act as charity trustees, helping to guide our organisation safely and legally.

How to apply: Please send an email to the committee at info@tmtc.co.uk. You will need to be proposed and seconded by two other society members, so please include their names in your email.
Note: The Chairman will be selected from the committee at our first post-AGM meeting on Thursday, 9th July 2026.

2. President and Vice-President Positions

Nominations are open for the positions of President and Vice-President for a one-year term.

How to apply: Please email your nominations directly to info@tmtc.co.uk by the deadline on Friday, 26th June 2026.

3. Proposing Agenda Items for a Vote

If you have a formal proposal or resolution you would like the membership to vote on during the AGM, we welcome your submission.

How to submit: Email your proposal to us by the deadline on Friday, 26th June 2026. Please include your name as the proposer, along with the name of the member seconding the resolution.

Celebrating Our Community: The TMTC Awards

We are delighted to bring back the TMTC Awards this evening! This is our opportunity to celebrate the incredible talent, hard work, and supportive spirit of our members. The awards will be presented live during the meeting.

Please keep an eye on our official Band group and your emails over the coming days, where we will share the award categories and details on how you can nominate your peers.

RSVPs and Apologies

If you are a member and already know you are unable to attend on Wednesday, 1st July 2026, please contact a committee member or email us at info@tmtc.co.uk so we can formally record your apologies for the minutes.

Additionally, we have recently updated our database to better stay in regular contact with our wider TMTC network. If you are in touch with any past members or friends of the society who might like to attend the AGM and reconnect, please do share this link with them—everyone is welcome.
